The ideal base to begin our tour is the main town Chake Chake which is centrally located and it is the islands business heart. Our guide will explain to you the history and lifestyle of Pembans while wandering around the most interesting buildings of the town; among them the Old Fort, Old Slave Port and Town Market.
We will continue out tour and make a stop over at a small community-based project the Kidike Sactuary for flying foxes. these endemic gigantic fruit eating bats are indigenous in Pemba and are lovely to observe.
Finally immerse in a nature walk into the Zanzibars biodiversity hottest spot of Ngezi Vumawimbi Nature Forest Reserve and get amazed by the gigantic rain forest of endangered birds and wildlife.
